This singer has everything, -the most beautiful timbre and most sensitive phrasing. I was upset to hear he is retiring, since he is the most accomplished baritone in the u.k.

For me this is the best of all the solo versions. Having said that, this song is so beautiful that any version, solo, instrumental or choir is beautiful. Impossible not to be beautiful.

Myfanwy is beautiful. Just emailed it to you HG, but it ain’t me singing it. When the welsh choirs would be brought out by our little welsh society in my little city here in Canada I would always ask my dad who was part of that society if he could ask them to sing that song if it wasn’t on their repertoire.

Coincidentally, the man singing here looks very much like one of the four members of Gestalt, in the novel The Rook by Daniel O'Malley; in that novel, the main character is named Myfanwy.

Well, I can a bit of some Irish and Scottish gaelic. Perhaps I'm a Scandinavian "Celtomanic". My first terrier was an Irish lne, the present is Welsh. Cymru i do not understand, but with my dog we sing the Welsh national Anthem. M. Nicky K in Finland
